Below you find the technical requirements for SimaPro 7 Single and Multi-User versions
SimaPro technical requirements
The following specifications are recommended to run SimaPro 7. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding specific configurations.
Hardware requirements Single User:
- PC > 2000 MHz (recommended)
- at least 2 GB main memory (RAM)
- 1 GB free hard disc storage (the actual hard disc storage depends on the number of databases)
- 5 GB free hard disc space for temporary files during use of SimaPro (recommended)
Hardware requirements Multi-User
Multi-User Client:
- PC > 2000 MHz (recommended)
- at least 2 GB main memory (RAM)

Multi-User database server:
- >1000 MHz, 2000 MHz recommended
- 2GB Ram (SimaPro database server will reserve up to 500MB for its own use)
- 1 GB free hard disc storage (the actual hard disc storage depends on the number of databases)
- 10 GB free hard disc space for temporary files during use of SimaPro (recommended)
- 100 Mb/s TCP/IP network minimum, 1Gb/s recommended
- fast hardrives
Software requirements:
- Windows XP or higher
- We recommend to run the database server on Windows Server 2003/2008
- To calculate large models, we recommend running SimaPro on Windows 7 or Windows Server 2003/2008
- Novell servers are not supported
If you are using an Apple or Unix computer you can run SimaPro through a Windows emulator or via a parallel platform. We regret we cannot give technical support for these systems.
