As sustainability becomes more important to companies and organizations, PRé Consultants’ 20 years of success in this area has put it in a unique position. We face increasing demands for our services and seek to expand the consultancy team in The Netherlands with a full-time Consultant.

Scope of the Consultancy department:

The Consultancy Group consists of a Consulting Director and a team of consultants who are dedicated
experts in the fields of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and corporate social responsibility.

The work domain of the Consultancy Group is twofold:

Projects for customers:

• Workshops
• LCAs
• Training
• Advice
• Implementing competence centers

Support product innovation to meet the (future) client's needs

Your role:
As a consultant you will work on external assignments and contribute to product development. Your work will be in all areas of PRé’s value proposition:

• helping organizations to become more knowledgeable by conducting workshops to help clients understand the sustainability landscape & trends
• providing organizations with information for better decision making by data-modeling, data collection and data-analysis
• enhancing in-depth knowledge and expertise, by training experts in the use of SimaPro and making Life Cycle Assessments
• creating value by implementing centers of expertise in the client’s organization

You will be involved in activities that are required to maintain the position of PRé Consultants as a thought leader in the field of sustainability. You will be involved in methodology development, supporting the development of SimaPro and related products. You will be actively involved in EU- projects concerning the development of standards and methodologies with EU wide impact.

Your experience and skills:

• You have proven experience acting as a project member in large projects. You cooperate easily with third parties. You have the ambition to develop yourself to become project leader.
• You are knowledgeable in the field of sustainability, LCA and footprints.
• You are informed of the developments in the market and in your field. You are methodical and well grounded in statistics.
• You have proven experience with looking at sustainability issues from a business point of view. You understand the business concerns of our clients.
• You have experience as a trainer and facilitator.
• You are able to build a relevant network and know how to maintain this. In complex settings you remain able to look after the interests of PRé Consultants. You recognize business opportunities.
• You represent PRé Consultants at seminars and consortia.
• You contribute to the substantive and methodical development of the PRé instruments
• Travelling is part of your job and a flexible attitude towards working hours is required.

This position will report to the Consulting Director.

We ask:

• Finished Master (or post-doc) education, preferably in the field of environment
• At least 5 years relevant work experience as (LCA) consultant
• Extensive and indepth knowledge of and experience with LCA software and data processing
• Fluent in English and Dutch both verbally and written
• Skilled in business writing
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills
• The ability to translate concepts to business solutions
• Proven project experience with large, multiple stakeholder projects
• Experience with working successfully with groups as coach and facilitator
• A flexible, result-oriented team player
