Contribution to Impact Assessment Research
PRé Consultants contributes to many important developments in LCA methodology and life cycle based research.
Impact assessment methods
- ReCiPe is an impact assessment method which comprises harmonized category indicators at the midpoint and the endpoint level. It is an improvement on CML 2000 and Eco-indicator 99. The main contributors to this project are PRé, CML and RIVM, Radboud University.
- Eco-indicator 99 is one of the most widely used impact assessment methods in LCA. It is the successor of Eco-indicator 95, the first endpoint impact assessment method, which allowed the environmental load of a product to be expressed in a single score.
- LC-Impact is a project commissioned by the EU to develop new impact assessment methods for categories that are not included in life cycle impact assessments and categories for which model uncertainties are very high. PRé contributes to the development of an indicator for fossil and mineral resource depletion.
